About Us
The Semy-Estoiles brand was created to offer a sensual experience in body products that are designed to protect and nourish your skin and to envelope you in a beautiful fragrance. The inspiration was propelled by a long-held ambition to fulfil a concept of a complementary and superbly blended range of body products that appeal to everyone, regardless of gender or any other differentiating factor. Camelina Body and bath oil is the first in our range of products.
The emphasis is on the natural oils in our products and the care with which the Semy-Estoiles team have formulated the fragrance and then tested and manufactured the products to the highest quality standards.
Semy✫Estoiles
The creation is new but the name is taken from a feature on the coat of arms granted to a family ancestor in the early 18th century, himself descended from a line of apothecaries. Originally, apothecaries stored and sold spices, herbs and perfumes but, in time, specialised in preparing substances for medicinal purposes.
The language of heraldry is based on Norman French, and the family coat of arms features stylised stars (“estoiles”- pronounced as if it were French) on the shield or escutcheon and the crest is a phoenix “semy-estoiles”, meaning it is decorated (the literal translation is “sown”) with little stars.
Stars are a key theme because there is stardust in all of us and our aim in beauty products is the stars – per pulchritudinem ad astra – through beauty to the stars.
